Maria di Miceli, the daughter of Maestro Calogero di Miceli and Salvatrice Carrabba, is born and baptized on 24 September 1854 in Corleone. Her godparents are Michele di Giglia and his wife, Maria Guagliardo (called Maria di Mattia in this record: her mother’s surname).[1] Maria is named after her maternal grandmother.
Maria marries Giovanni Bartolotta, son of the late Vincenzo Bartolotta and Biagia Majuri, and widower of Rosaria Rotolo, on 20 September 1875.[2]
Giovanni and Maria have at least two children, Leoluchina (c. 1876) and Giovanni (c. 1889).
I estimate Leoluchina is about twenty years old when she marries.
Giovanni is born around 1889, based on his reported age at marriage.
Leoluchina marries Francesco di Carlo on 12 July 1896 in Corleone.[3]
Giovanni, age 28, marries Salvatrice di Simone in New York City on 5 November 1917.[4]
